I have fond memories of the Dungeon Master crpg, which was quite revolutionary when it was released. One of the first creatures you encounter in the game are Screamers, which make these iconic screeching sounds when attacking your party. I only later found out that they were based on a D&D creature, the Shrieker.
Having no attacks, the Shrieker is not really a combat focused creature and I doubt it will ever come in handy on the tabletop. As nostalgic as I am I nevertheless bough and painted the one, when WizKids released the official mini.
