Occasionally a spell with a lingering effect plays an important role in an encounter. In these cases a miniature for a spell effect might be helpful. This was the case when I needed a Grasping Hand spell effect which was triggered by a trap.
Miniatures for spell effects are not as common as miniatures for RPG creatures, but there is a nice selection around. For the Hand spell effects the minis from Reaper Miniatures Bones are a fantastic choice.
Sadly the effect I needed was only available through the Bones 6 Kickstarter, which ended years ago. Luckily I was able to get the mini on eBay for a reasonable price.
