I’m always on the lookout for nice minis of giant or dire animals. Sadly there are rather few out there which I really like. Luckily Francesca Musumeci’s Amazons! Kickstarter came along and provided me with a host of fantastic monster models. I’m planning to paint quite a few of these models, and the first one I got around to do was one of the three giant spiders.
The model was printed to fit on a 60mm base and is quite imposing when facing a human sized mini. To make her even more intimidating I went for a rather dark base color (both on the mini and on the base) with contrasting highlights.
