Gelatinous Cube

Gelatinous Cube

After a lot of NPCs in the past weeks today we return to monsters and I present one of the most iconic D&D monsters ever – the Gelatinous Cube.
My first idea was to print a translucent mini and fill it with “absorbed” stuff and there are some cool examples of this out there. I went with the “Cube-O-Snot” 3D model by Fat Dragon Games, removed the skeletons from the surface, hollowed it out and printed it in translucent resin. While the model itself looked good, the result of putting stuff inside did not look as well as I though it would. So I went for putting some “half-absorbed” stuff on the outside and painted the whole mini the traditional way.
