Soulslikes are not for me. I could never warm up to the core gameplay mechanics. This is kind of a bummer as the world building and exploration aspects of some of the games in the genre are fantastic.
Elden Ring is a good example. The world and creature design is great and I would love to explore it in detail, but the gameplay is just not enjoyable for me. That does not mean that I can’t print and paint models from the game, though. One of the coolest creatures I’ve seen so far from the game are the Living Yars and Andrew Martin created a great 3d model of one.
