Haven’t painted a large dragon in a long, long time. While dragons are great and very iconic fantasy creatures (I mean it’s called “Dungeons & Dragons” for a reason), dragon models are mostly very time intensive to paint and do not really see much use on the tabletop.
As a big fan of Viva La Dirt League‘s “Epic NPC Man” series I was rather intrigued when Archon Studio released a dragon from the series – the Dragon of Schmargonrog. I think it was never even seen in the series, only mentioned, but I still loved the idea and bought one.
After lying around in his box for years I finally decided to assemble and paint him. While it was a bit smaller than I thought and I’m really not a fan of the small 50mm base, I was very impressed with the quality of the sculpt.
